The Ion Plush Mattress ships directly from the factory and usually takes about 7 to 14 business days to arrive. Delivery times may vary based on circumstances including but not limited to things like factory demand, holidays, or severe weather.

Roll Pack Mattresses should be opened and expanded within 60 days after it arrives, otherwise it will no longer be covered by the factory warranty. Check the Warranty information card that comes with your mattress for complete warranty information.

When your order arrives please inspect the package for signs of damage. Do NOT open the package if there is any severe damage, especially signs of water damage. Please contact the store as soon as possible to report any issues so we can make arrangements for a replacement.

Factory Direct mattresses are built to order. After payment is received your order is submitted to the factory where it will be made just for you and shipped to the address you provide. These orders can be cancelled and refunded as long as the mattress has not started production at the factory. Once the mattress is in production the order cannot be cancelled.

Does this mattress need a foundation (box spring)?

The type of Bed Frame you have (or intend to get) answers this question. Regular metal rails require a Foundation as do many types of wood and upholstered beds (furniture). If your bed is a Storage bed with drawers or a lift mechanism, or a Platform bed that has a bunch of slats forming a nice, solid surface then it is probably "Mattress Ready" and does not need a Foundation.

Most Foundations are nothing more than wooden frame wrapped in fabric and are more than adequate for most situations. A "Semi-Flex" Foundation uses a heavy-dudty wire frame for added strength, but may make the bed feel softer. A "Matched Box Spring" is very rare these days and uses heavy duty coil springs that match the coils in the mattress, and can cost more than the mattress.

How long will this mattress last?

Mattresses do not have an expiration date. How the mattress will be used and by whom will affect the lifespan of the mattress. Guest beds might last 15 times longer than a "nightly sleeper" simply because they might be used only a few nights out of the year. Look for a higher quality, pocket coil or foam base mattress when choosing a bed you share with someone. We provide a "Suggested Use" recommendation to help you choose.*

Taking care of your mattress will extend the life of your mattress, too. Rotate your mattress regularly. I recommed rotating your mattress every week for the first month or two to break it in evenly, and then every month after that. A good mattress protector will help keep your mattress clean and dry. Oils and sweat from your skin will affect the various foams used in your mattress, and staining on the mattress will void any waranty.

What is covered by a warranty?

In short, a warranty protects consumers from defects in the materials or manufacturing of a product. Warranties only cover the cost you paid for an item and do not cover aditional fees or charges, such as delivery or shipping costs. Please refer to the manufacturer's warranty information for complete details.

Warranties are offered by the manufacturer and there are certain requirements that you as a consumber must follow. A item must be clean and cared for and have any Law Lables attached in order to present a claim. If a product shows signs of abuse or neglect, such as damage caused by pets or staining of fabrics, then the manufacturer may deny the claim. The Law Label identifies the item and when it was made, and you will need to present your original receipt to show proof of purchase. The manufacturer is solely responsible for all claim determination and remedy.

Is a firm mattress better for a bad back?

Maybe, but this idea comes from the old days of "link-spring" bed frames which were nortorious for sagging. "Put a board under your mattress" was a common suggestion back then but in reality you were just eliminating the "hammoc" effect.

The support - not firmness - of a mattress should be matched with your weight and sleep position. Side and back sleepers generally prefer softer options and stomach sleepers prefer firmer beds, but your preference is truely your own. The best way to know is to try before you buy, paying close attention to how well it supports you and how easy it is to roll over.
